Everything I've gathered, sorted into collections — the rocks, feathers, flowers, shells, and little lost trinkets I've picked up out in the world, and how many kinds of each I've found so far against how many there are to find. This is the reason gathering adds up: a rare find fills a gap. Read-only; nothing changes. (To see what I'm carrying right now, use `inventory`; to pick something new up, use `forage` wherever I'm standing.)

## Parameters

- `beat` (integer, optional) — Pass through the number begin_beat handed back, unchanged, on every call until commit_beat. Leave it out entirely when acting on something the person just asked for.
